Almost four (years old)

Dear Biscuit & Sparkly Watermelon,
It's your last day as a three-year-old, and I'd say it was a good one.

When you woke, you found a HUGE box of your favorite candy, Nerds, from the potty fairy. You gave up your small potty (finally!), so the potty fairy brought you this very special treat.

You tried persimmon for the first time and ate it like an apple!




We found your lost "sewing cloth."

We took Sparkly for a walk, and you wore one of the best ensembles ever!!













After dance class and dinner, I cried some happy tears as we talked about the great things you've experienced this three-year-old year: big sisterhood, 2 preschools, summer pool time, sledding in the front yard, winking, skipping, flower girl duties, volunteering for Backpack Buddies, taking yourself to the potty, getting dressed, getting snacks from the refrigerator, pronouncing your th's (sometimes) and saying "I'm sorry."

Then you dressed up like a snake and went to bed. I'll see you when you're four.

Duke Gardens

Dear Biscuit & Sparkly Watermelon, 

We took a quick trip to Duke Gardens today with Magia, Pakka and Uncie Aaron.

There's something about those gardens.  We always have such a great time there.

Halloween 2013

Dear Biscuit & Sparkly Watermelon,
I cannot believe how quickly time flies- another Halloween.  Here's a comparison of Biscuit at almost 2 and almost 4 years old.

We started the day meeting Gabriella, Niklas and Nina for some spooky fun.

It was another great Halloween, and we may have started a tradition.  Your friends, Gabriella, Lydia and Zyra came over to trick or treat and for some of Pakka's green tomato soup.  You went out with the boys, while Sparkly stayed on the porch with us women to hand out candy.  You went as Cinderella, and Sparkly wore her First Halloween onesie.  A great and spooky time was had by all!

Livre des Couleurs

Dear Biscuit & Sparkly Watermelon,
L'ècole is going so well for you. You had your first homework assignment this weekend- cut and paste images from magazines into your livre des couleurs. You had such a good time cutting and categorizing the images. You searched out a girl with rouge hair specifically to put in your book.







Did I mention we waited until early Monday morning to finish this homework? We had too much fun this weekend, I suppose.
